WHO we are and WHAT we do

Who is ADSC-Agility?
The All Dog Sports Club-Agility (ADSC-Agility) is a not for profit, member run dog agility club located in North Gower, just south of Ottawa, Ontario. The purpose of the Club is to promote the competitive and recreational sport of canine agility through training, demonstrations, fun matches, social events, and sanctioned trials; to encourage responsible dog ownership and safe participation; and to educate the public on the sport of agility.

Classes are offered at all levels from puppies, beginners, novice, intermediate and starters to masters. The club offers 3 agility fields of 90' X 150', 2 fenced training fields and an open competition field and 1 fully fenced 60'X60' puppy field.

Intermediate and Advanced handlers are offered the opportunity to test their ability at any of the Agility Association of Canada (AAC) sanctioned competitions hosted by the club throughout the outdoor competition season (May to October). Our trials offer events for Starters, Advanced and Master level dogs. Competitors come from all over Eastern and Southern Ontario and Western Quebec to visit and compete at our weekend trials which offer standard agility events as well as the four games at Advanced and Masters levels. Local competitors also, have the opportunity to compete at our evening mini trials held on selected evenings during the summer.

Club Membership and Activities

Responsibilities of Membership
All members pay an annual fee to cover equipment and administration costs.

The Club requires, from all members, a minimum of sixteen (16) hours of volunteer time occurring during the agility trial season (approx May to September). For hours completed above this minimum, make the member eligible for the Frequent Volunteer Reward program.

This volunteer commitment is recorded as 4 trial slots (or the equivalent in facility/grounds work) during the agility season. Your choices are:

1) 4-hour slots at the seven formal AAC evening trials;

2) 5-hour slots at the two all-day formal AAC weekender trials (ie morning and afternoon slots);

3) a facility task (ie grounds or equipment), that occurs during the agility season, approved by the Facilities Coordinator, and classified in terms of its equivalence in hours to a slot.

Club jobs include painting and maintenance of club equipment, organizing events and working one of the many trial jobs available, such as Ring Crew or similar positions. Members can solicit help from friends and relatives to do volunteer work which will count towards their 16 hours
